I have always been a visionary. This approach also applies to art, as I have ventured in its creativity. Picturing a piece finished in your mind before you start, assists in focusing on what it will take to create it. I use watercolor and oils as my medium of choice, while having strong consideration of the focal point, the composition, and reaction from the viewer’s perspective. I play with the opposite processes of these two mediums, sometimes painting similar compositions, one in each medium to create different effects. I enjoy the challenge of light and dark values creating visuals pleasant to the eye, and emotionally relational with accurate proportions. All this makes for a happy, well-disciplined artist who among other artists engages in constructive dialogue leading to learning and enjoyment of the journey.
